Diabetes is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. One of the reasons is that diabetes symptoms go unnoticed for a long time.

I’ve Just Been Told I’ve Got Diabetes - Now What Do I Do?
Extensive medical research exists linking the increased use of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) and the growing incidence of Type 2 diabetes. Because it causes a draining of chromium (a trace mineral that helps control blood sugar levels) from the body, the effects of HFCS need to be countered with supplementation.

Diabetes - Types of Tests
To test your blood glucose levels, you can either have a finger-prick fasting blood sugar test, or you can have a hemoglobin AIC test. The tests differ in that a finger-prick test provides a measure of your blood sugar at the moment of the test, while the hemoglobin A1C test shows how your blood sugar has been regulated over the past three-month period by analyzing the hemoglobin, instead of simply the sugar levels. In order to establish a diagnosis of diabetes, a hemoglobin A1C test is necessary.
